all my menu icons disappeared !!??

I don't know what happened.. but all my menu icons under (applications, places, system) disappeared! Changing themes does not bring them back. What happened?

Can anyone help me?

I ran this not too long ago... could this be the problem?

Do you see any panel? If yes, then click right button on panel and select "add to panel". now find out the "Menu Bar" and click add button. now you can see your application,place and system menu
