Which OS do you use?

I noticed that there were a couple of posts in the topic about the Other OS Talk section being removed that said that not many users here use other operating systems, and that on the other hand, the ones that do dual-boot or virtualize with Ubuntu.

It's a multi-choice poll.

If you choose multi-booting or virtualization, please also pick the OS that you virtualize/boot with.

Ubuntu 8.10 on my desktop. I'll definitely dual boot with Windows 7 when that comes out, because I need Adobe Premiere and Adobe Flash again and I need to play some games.

I have Windows XP on my Laptop, but it runs incredibly slow. I either need to have RAM upgrade or find a light weight on the go OS for my laptop. I'll probably end up choosing the latter, and booting Arch Linux on my laptop.

I've got Vista with Ubuntu.
Soon to replace Ubuntu with Arch.

I primarily use *BSD (FreeBSD being my favorite), but use Ubuntu to help out for efficiently around these Forums. I frequently test other distributions as well. Currently I am testing Jaunty and TinyCore 1.1.

I will probably switch out Jaunty here soon for the new Fedora Alpha, or something else interesting...

Laptop: Ubuntu 8.04 (64-bit). I also have Windows Vista (dual boot) on it, but I hardly ever use Vista on my laptop.

Desktop (home): Windows Vista. I mainly use the desktop for iTunes and Photoshop.

At work: Windows XP, I don't have a choice there.

Linux Mint/Ubuntu on this laptop. New netbook arrives today (Asus N10J). It will have XP and Mint on it :D The ONLY reason I'll retain XP is for the Yahoo Messenger. I work overseas and like to see and hear my wife when we chat. I want a System 76 in a baaad way, would maybe try an Ubuntu/Arch mix on that.

i have more than one computer and so i have more than one operative system. i use ubuntu and debian most. debian on my new computer and the older of them. i use ubuntu on my new laptop right now but when i have time i want to install and configure debian lenny as a portable audio recording setup. i use a debian derivative for audio production called 64studio and i use crunch bang on my asus eeepc and on my media center. i also use different distributions and betatest latest it was jaunty jackalope. i have used open-solaris for about six month for office and main interent usage but as i only have one computere that solaris seems to fit in and that happens to be the new one i choosen to install debian lenny on that one and is right now tryiing to build a audio recording setup.
i used bsd shortly and even minix i been playing around with. also had for a long time a freedos installation on a older pc . so i like to try things out but i would only use debian or ubuntu as the main operative system if i have only one computer.

My main disto is Ubuntu, but I'm playing with other distros. I've got Sam2007 installed, I did have OpenSUSE 11 & Mandriva 2009.1 installed, but I was having problems with them both so they've gone for now ....... but they'll be back as I like experimenting!
