8.10 install stalls.

While install 8.10 it goes smoothly through the first part (all 7 steps) but when it gets to the Partitions Formatting it hangs at “Creating ext3 file system for / in partition #1 SCSI1 (0.0.0)…”

I’ve tried everything I can think of but it always ends the same way so now I need some serious HELP!

What's on the disk you are trying to format? Is there another OS? Windows perhaps?
