Upgrade from KDE3 to KDE4.2 Failed

Hi everyone,

Last night i tried to upgrade from KDE3.x to KDE4 It didn't work and i can't start X. Though i can get a prompt.

I only have experience with xorg failing etc but i have no idea how to switch back to using KDE3 so that i can get back into X.

Is there a specific KDE config file which governs the version?

How do i switch back to KDE3 before loading X?
