I burned 8.04.1 and .2 about 30 times on all different CDs and it stops at 22% saying that I need to cool my HDD off or re-burn the CD or clean it off. I burned hundreds of linux distros in my past. Something is definitely not right not related to the burn. Please help.

...bump
I installed it on my legacy computer and it worked just fine. super old ATA Playstation 2 hard drive solved the problem I think. i wish I could get it running on my new comp though. >:O

try burning the cd/dvd at the slowest speed possible, 1x or 2x.
