very good site for dual boot help, tutorials, how-tos and GRUB bootloader info.
I started here and wound up at the next two sites...

http://www.multibooters.co.uk/
very good site to understand how the various ******* oses handle the boot process with other oses.

http://apcmag.com/howto_home.htm
very good site with MANY HOW-TOs giving step by step instructions for multi-OS installs with LOTS of variables (os installed order)

http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1
EXCELLENT site for downloading Easy Boot CD and SUPERGRUB boot cd.

http://www.supergrubdisk.org/
EXCELLENT site SuperGrub LIVE CD !!! VERY VALUABLE TOOL to let you boot into linux or windows with one click

^*^*^*^*^*^*^*verified for me that all 3 oses were functional !! so I knew all I had to do was LEARN TO FIX IT not reload all ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

using these two tools I fixed my problems and understood what was happening and why.

I have had easy successs multibooting many oses for years with EASE until VISTA came along and forked MS boot process again, leaving me in the woods until NOW.

Hope you folks find this as useful as I have.

I PERSONALLY believe it should be STICKIED at the top of this forum.

I had XP installed first, installed Vista x64 months later, installed Ubuntu few days ago.

After Ubuntu install, upon reboot, came back to the vista boot manager screen as if Ubuntu had never been installed. Much research through these forums didn't help. Googling, I read a zillion pages(fast reader :) ) and found SuperGrub Live CD, used it to see that all was well with all 3 oses.

Eventually, I ran across the site explaining what was happening to my boot processes each way I was trying. FINALLY using easy boot cd I (in windows) set up each of them to boot properly.

I can, at ONE screen. CHOOSE which of the 3 I want to boot.
If you want to learn and understand... here ya go.

If you want somebody to draw you a picture, these sites do it, with you expending reading effort.

If you want momma to fix yer pooter, tell her to read it, lol.

good luck guys and gals, if me and a few thousand other dummies can do it

EWE KAN TEWE!
