Hello,

I've just tried installing ubuntu on a small shoebox pc. I wanted a dual boot so I used the wubi installer through XP and it worked fine. Problem is when getting into ubuntu, it says it's running in low resolution mode.

It asked me initially if I wanted to continue in low res mode, find another resolution, or cancel. I set it to continue in low res hoping I could find a driver, but then it just froze on a black screen. Now when I try again to boot into ubuntu it freezes on a peach looking screen.

Is there something I can do to load the correct VGA driver for ubuntu before I crash/freeze?

The PC i'm using is an iWILL XP4 with P4 1.8ghz, 256mb ram. I just got this pc for the kitchen and plan to install a 1gb stick and a pci video card, but intend for now to work with what it has.
