Hello, I have installed a second hard drive for storing photos and music. It is formatted FAT32 so that it can also be read by XP. Now is there a way of Ubuntu detecting the drive and placing the icon on the desk top when it starts. This just saves me the time of clicking on the icon under PLACES.

Thank you
Alan

Applications>Add/Remove
(at the top) Show: All avalable applications
Search for 'Device Manager'

It'll return a couple'o applications, I've never used one so can't say which one is best.

Play around with a few.
