View Full Version : [ubuntu] What webcam-ready software is available in Ubuntu?

February 14th, 2009, 04:31 AM
I'm writing a short blog about using Easycam (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EasyCam) to install webcams in Ubuntu and wanted to put together a list of possible applications that use webcams in Ubuntu.

The only one that I use is Skype. But I know about Cheese... and I think Ekiga supports video calls too (but I've never used that app).

What other apps out there work with webcams?

Gmail has a video chat. Also instant messenger does video, but I'm not sure if it does in pidgen (I think maybe it does).
