Configuring Modem

Hello;
I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Hardy Heron Desktop CD 32 bit,
on a multi-boot system.

I've used the "listMdm" utility to get my modem information.
I then went to the linuxant web site to get the linux drivers
for conexant chipset, and found the relevant drivers, pertaining
to my situation.

Could you please give me the details, where to extract this file to?

If you are using a Conexant HSF modem looks like you can use the deb from dell, which can be installed by double clicking on the downloaded deb.
