View Full Version : [ubuntu] Widgets are Tiny, Unusable, and Unreadable

I recently connected a 1080p HD television to my desktop and am very pleased with the high resolution display. However, it has since broken some widgets on my desktop!

In particular, the login screen does not display text correctly. When I enter a username (and password), I can barely see what I am typing (the text is very small). Zooming in (via Compiz or other magnifiers) shows that the text is actually being rendered quite poorly and is often impossible to make out.

This happens with Google Earth 5 (which I believe is Qt-based). I can't do a thing, because the menus are about five pixels tall and all of the text is made up of indecipherable black lines.

Has anyone else run into this problem? I could use some help!

Thanks.
