BG1 installs just fine and runs fine too until I try to get into the Friendly Arm inn area. After the autosave and loading the area the screen just turns blue. The keyboard seems to remain responsive but killing x seems to be my only way out of that. I haven't found anything on this issue anywhere. So any help/ideas would be appreciated.

BG2 won't install. When I have to switch back from cd4 to cd1 I get this: http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q108167 from the installshield. I haven't found a way around this issue either. I might have an idea for it though (which I'll try soon, this is more like thinking out loud to see if my idea makes any sense).

From the table in the link you can see the the directory structure in the windows registry thingy. Now in my cedega config it says that wine tries to imitate win98 but the directory structure in the transgaming drive is as the structure is for win95 in the table. Same can be seen in the user.reg file. So maybe if I make cedega to imitate win95 or edit the directory structure I could get around this problem.

Did that make any sense? I'll try it soon but in the mean time I'd still appreciate any info/ideas/help on both of these issues. I'm desperate to get the most bestest games ever to work. And yes, you read correct, the most bestest. That how friggin' good those games are.

edit: so far no luck with the win95 imitation.

I can't register without subscribing and I'm not using the commercial version. I don't like the idea of having to pay them money just to get to register into their forum.
