***edit***I am trying to install xp office, not the windows OS. Woops.

So far.. I've tried right clicking the exe file, ope with wine. I enter the product key and that works, but the installation fails after that. Has anyone had similar problems? How can I install this program?

If you have any good guides that are for Linux beginners can you share that with me? I need word for track changes.

Thanks

are you trying to install windows xp as a program?

you cannot install an os as a regular file.

download virtualbox, and create a virtual machine of xp. then, you can use xp inside ubuntu.

advice: give openoffice 3 a try.
