To be fair, it does not seem to be a Windows issue, more like TightVNC issue.

Typical Windows problems? Hardly... it's the user in this case. Here's a couple of screenshots of me using VNC from Ubuntu & XP connecting to various types of computers (XP, 2000, OSX, Linux).

I use VNC to support 150+ PCs and don't have any problems (I have a mix of Windows 9x, NT, 2000 and XP machines, as well as OSX and Linux). This guy is just having a rough day.

What does this have to do with Windows? If you want to convince people that windows has problems, don't use this as an example...

Either TightVNC just sucks, or maybe there's some other problem with this guy's network.

May i just ask one thing, i have noticed two threads of yours and they are both about how bad windows is, WHY?

WHY would you join a Linux distro forum to spread crap about Windows?

It's also extremely funny that you are spreading FUD in no less than two threads of which one accuses MS of spreading FUD.

TightVNC does not suck I can attest to that :) Agreed on everything else.

I've never used TightVNC myself, so I couldn't tell if it was a problem with that piece of software or not. Thanks for clarifying.
