Using 8.10, Rythmbox. I've extracted (ripped) tracks from several CD's. They're all in one big list when I open Rythmbox.

What do Linux users use for organizing music (e.g. ripped CD tracks)? And if they have to be all in one file, is there a way to get Rythmbox to show the tracks from just one album at a time?

I realize I can sort the columns by artist, title, album, etc. but it would be handy to be able to look at just one album at a time, (a la windows media player, ugh!)

Thanks

Click the Browse icon on the toolbar, or go to View and select Browse, or press Ctrl+B. This will give you a 3-pane view similar to the old Winamp with a list of artists on one side and a list of albums on the other.

You also might want to try Amarok. It's honestly what convinced me to switch to Linux full time a few years ago.

sudo apt-get install amarok
