I am webmaster to a couple of literary and artistic websites.
The stats on the operating system of visitors over all of 2008 were as follows:
Operating Systems (Top 10) - Full list/Versions - Unknown
Operating Systems Hits Percent
Windows 1036984 81.7 %
Macintosh 149672 11.7 %
Unknown 65633 5.1 %
Linux 14327 1.1 %
Unknown Unix system 619 0 %
BSD 609 0 %
Sun Solaris 212 0 %
and an image if I can manage it:

It would be interesting to see if other webmasters post such stats. Particularly to see if there is any difference between countries. This site is in Ireland.
(added: the site is www.stingingfly.org a literary magazine.)
Also, does anyone have a theory on why the "Unknown OS" figure is so high?
