how do i use windows to write an image to a flash drive so i can install ubuntu on a machine with no CD drive?
i tried using dd for windows to write the straight ISO file to a flash drive, but when i try to boot from it i get grub error 17 (bad mbr). googleing only seems to give info on how to install TO a flashdrive, or how to write an image to a flashdrive from within a ubuntu install, but i don't have a ubuntu install.
