View Full Version : [ubuntu] Macbook's arrow keys are "sticky"

I'm running Ubuntu 8.10 on my MacBook 4,1. If I'm playing a game, for example, and I accidentally press three arrow keys at once, it becomes "sticky" and will act as if one of those keys is still pressed down. The only way to release it is to press the key in question. Naturally, that's a big pain in the ***.

What do I do about this?

I have the same problem and have not found a solution yet. Just wanted to let you know you're not alone. I wonder if it has something to do with the applesmc module, but that's just conjecture.

this issue is still around for me in 10.10 on a macbook 3,1, if anyone wants to take a guess at what may be causing it.
EDIT: i did a bit of experimenting to figure out if the issue was any one key in particular, but it seems to effect all of the arrow keys and strikes somewhat at random.
for example, pressing ↑ + → + ↓ may cause the → key to stick, the ↑ key to stick, or no key to stick.
this issue makes boss battles nearly impossible XD
