Hi everybody!

I have recently visited the kubuntu website, and now I am thinking about switching to kubuntu from ubuntu. I just downloaded a live kubuntu 8.10 CD. I just have one question: How do I find out if my graphic card is supported, so I can use Compiz - Fusion? I went to Applications --> System --> (Hardware something (don't remember the exact name but it had a pic of a graphic card)) and it did not find anything, and did not show anything ether. Do I have to install kubuntu for that tool to work??? Or is there a website with all the available graphic cards?

Any help would be helpful

P.S.
Here's my graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce4 MX with AGP8X
This graphic card works perfectly in ubuntu 8.04
And yes I know that I can install KDE in ubuntu, and have both, I just don't want to because I am limited to space.

-- Thanks!

Kubuntu is only Ubuntu with the KDE environment instead of Gnome and several other specific programs. Graphics support should be the same.

I believe you would have to install it first before you can have the graphics and Compiz

Does it matter that ubuntu is 8.04, and kubuntu i downloaded is 8.10?

For a fresh install probably not. As long as you are going to back up important documents, if any.
