Lately I've been wanting to set up global keyboard shortcuts to some applications in GNOME, but unlike KDE its keyboard shortcut settings only allow certain very specific actions to be performed, while KDE allows pretty much any key to be mapped to pretty much any application.

Does anyone know of a graphical way to do this in GNOME? I really would prefer not to mess around with xmodmap or anything equally frustrating though if there is a sufficiently user-friendly command line way of doing it I'm willing to hear about it as well.
