When watching dvd's on my laptop on testing KDE 4.2 i noticed that compared to gnome the videos look amazing in a sense that usually i get these lines that appear in the video especially with fast moving objects dunno how to explain them whether compiz is on or off but with KDE i don't get as much if any. I like KDE but prefare gnome, but the only thing keeping me with KDE is the video quality, but don't understand why gnome's suffers the bad quality.

EDIT: This is using vlc on both environments
