Scanner not working since upgrade

I upgraded to Intrepid the other day and now cannot use my scanner. Its an HP officejet 6210. It worked fine in Hardy. Once I open Xsane it shows the webcam and the scanner. When I select the scanner I get a failure to open message. It does print though.

I have the latest version of hplip installed -- but see this one:

I had the same problem with an Officejet 6500. I could get the scanner to work by installing the hpoj libraries in Synaptic, but that library didn't have support for my printer - so then the scanner worked, but the printer didn't. I just upgraded to 9.10 and both work. Try upgrading!
