View Full Version : Name my program!

I've been developing a program off and on for a while, but now I've finally got a deadline which I need to meet. Thing is I would like to have a proper name for the project because I have been just calling it "the vault" for a while.

My program stores and organizes account information with strong security. It supports multiple profiles and it is mostly designed to take care of username/password information for anything... website logins, video game accounts, administration logins. Things such as credit card information, wireless network passwords will be accommodated too (feel free to suggest anything else).

Acceptable names:

Generally I'll take anything that isn't hard to pronounce. My friend suggested "Secureomatic 5000 with cheese" and I was thinking about cutting off the cheese part and calling it that. :D It doesn't have to be related to what the program does. Feel free to throw out anything that pops in your head!

One candidate I had was "Cripto" (as in Cryptography). Any opinions on that?

I'd just give it a simple name, like Secret or something like that.

Cryptic, perhaps?

Is it going to be a boy program or a girl program? Or would you like a unisex name, like Sam?

Yeah, I like those recursive acronym names :p.

I like Cosis and the recursive acronym with it. Sort of like "WINE is not an emulator". I will probably go with this, thanks.

Because I don't want my About window to be empty, I'm going to put '"RiceMonster" - Project Name' in the credits if that is ok with you. :P

Ha, you're welcome, and thanks for picking the name :). That's perfectly fine with me as well.
