So I have an Eee PC that Windows XP barely works with, so of course I decided to install ubuntu somehow. I downloaded the EasyPeasy iso and used unetbootin to get it on a usb drive. When I try and boot from the usb drive on the Eee, a grey screen appears with "Unetbootin" at the top, then a selection with "Default" and text at the bottom saying press tab to change the settings and a countdown to automatic boot. However, nothing happens when I select Default or wait until the countdown finishes. I've re-downloaded and applied the iso and still get the same problem. Any suggestions?

Im having a similar problem.

i have used UnetBootin to install backtrack4

but when USB is booted up it says on the UnetBootin menu

"Default"

and wont do anything :-k would it be something to do with my motherboard not supporting USBboot-up?

its allowing me to give USB priority in BIOS though
