Hi,
I'm trying to install 8.10 on my new pc and after booting from the live CD it just gives me a white screen. More specifically, I am able to choose the option the try ubuntu w/o changes to my computer, i press enter, the ubuntu logo appears and the bar moves back and forward, then just forward and after that finishes loading is just goes to a white screen.
EDIT: ok i tried several other versions of ubuntu, 7.04 and 7.10 i think, and they both gave me "Buffer I/O error on device fd0 logical block 0" after me pressing start ubuntu and then it loading.
specs:
CPU: AMD Phenom 2 920
GPU: ATI Radeon HD4850 1GB
RAM: 4GB ADATA PC1066
Case: Xclio A380+
HDD:Barracuda 7200rpm 500 gb
PSU: Corsair TX650W
MOBO: Asus M3N-HT Deluxe
Monitor: I-inc 28" LCD
