I was attempting to put ubuntu back on my desktop since classes have started back up, so time to turn the pc back into a workstation. I downloaded the 8.10 ISO, burned it, got into the installer menu, once I hit install ubuntu, the screen went out of range and I cannot see anything.

System is

Intel Q6600
4gb RAM
MSI P43 Chipset Motherboard
SATA Cd-Rom and HD's
ATI Radeon 3870.

I have never ever had a problem with ubuntu like this before I even got to install it... Anyone else having similar issues ?

Thank You,
Ryan M.

The first question is if the burn is good? Did you check the download and the disk? Have you installed to the same machine before? It might be that you just need to reburn or drop back to 8.04

Or maybe download the alternate CD.. That should at least get things installed.
