Hi, since upgrading from Ubuntu 8.04 to 8.10, networking has been messed up.
I've resolved most of the issues through Google searches, but one that is stumping me is the inability to update packages.

Get the following when checking for updates:

W: Failed to fetch http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/intrepid-backports/multiverse/i18n/Translation-en_US.bz2 Could not connect to 192.168.0.1:8080 (192.168.0.1). - connect (111 Connection refused)

It appears I'm being blocked by my DSL router, but I never had this problem with 8.04. Nothing changed on the router side, only the upgrade to 8.10.

Web browsing is fine. Not sure if there's some new proxy setting I need or what.

Thanks!

Its all updated packages or installation requests. I've never seen this with 7.10 and 8.04. Right from the start with 8.10. Apt-get fails too.
