View Full Version : [ubuntu] Problems starting Ubuntu 8.10[help]

There maybe some problem with my monitor resolution.While running live cd i got a blank screen
but when i selected safe graphics mode it ran well;)

NOw i have installed ubuntu inside xp.....(256mb:ram)
the installation went well,but after booting into linux through grub menu,after entering user name &password all i get is a blank screeen(black):(

Here are my display properties....

to be honest with you, I have never had good luck with wubi, I suggest just taking the plunge and partitioning you're HDD for a more efficient install

Is there any diffrence of what we get by wubi&direct install??
