Hello All,

When watching any video streaming on Firefox via Java (Youtube, Apple trailers, etc.) the video will fully load. However, during playback the video will continuously play normally, freeze for a couple of frames and then continue to play. Sound playback is normal.

I've tried reinstalling Java and ensuring I have only one Java package installed.

I am extremely new to linux, so please give me step-by-steps for each suggestion.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Well YouTube doesn't use Java as much as it uses flash. Are you running 32-bit or 64-bit Ubuntu? Which release? Tell us more about your hardware and Internet connection.

If you type about:plugins into the firefox address bar, you should see some plug in information. One of them will be for "Shockwave Flash" -- tell us the information in that heading.
