View Full Version : [all variants] utility for automatically closing popup dialogs (not browser popups)

I have set up Pidgin with a plugin that automatically replies to suspected spam, but when it does this, Pidgin pops up a dialog box asking if I want to reply to the sender (to the person suspected of sending AUTH spam) and I need to close that dialog box by clicking the "OK" button. Even if I want the AUTH request to be ignored, I get the popup dialog.

I remember there was some utility for Windows for doing this, but is there one for Linux?

I am not referring to a means of closing popups that appear when one is web browsing, but to popups that applications generate. This issue with Pidgin and the Privacy Please plugin is a known issue and I am looking for a workaround until it is resolved by the plugin developers.

thanks
