IPOD questiom

I keep hearing about the different generations of ipods that linux supports, but my question is what is the current generation (what number) and is the newest ones supported under ubuntu, specifically banshee media player.

never mind, I checked gtkpod's website and it seems to support every ipod, including iphone/ ipod touch (they need to be jail broken first) they also said that this support has been separated into a library which allows other applications to have the same support, and knowing the good reputation banshee has for device support one would assume that banshee uses this library.

Rhythmbox has decent support as well. Works with a 6th Gen iPod that I've tried...
