It's been awhile since I last wrote unix software. I would like some help in protecting two of my websites from a virus that keeps coming back after I clean it out. It appends itself to the back of my "index.html" files and shuts the websites down. I would like some help in writing a "cron" script that I could use to upload my "index.html" files starting on a daily basis until I can figure out how the virus is getting in. Also is there a way to write a script to check how this virus gets in and at what times they enter my files? One website is written in html software and the other has PHP software. Thanks for your help.
