I have performed a fresh 8.10 install. Everything seems to go well, at the end of the process I end up at a login screen. But when I login the system fails to bring up a desktop and the system hangs. Ctl-Alt-F1 will not bring me to a character session.
I am thinking the screen resolution may be the problem. I'd like to throttle back the resolution to 800x600 but I can't see how to do this during the install or even after the system has been installed.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
