Hi there all.

I have a webcam, i like it to, its nice.

it is marked up as...

BRAND: Woolworths
VER: 021

however it does not work since i installed ubuntu. :(

when i load the 'cheese' application i get a blue line down the left of the screen and a while image that i can see moment inside (so its working on at least some level) and in the skype options menu it shows a green static (like an old CRT, but green) then if i try to use it in a calll my skype reloads. every time.

I am using Ubuntu 8.10 my USB DOES work perfectly (USB sound card + Blue Tooth + Memory key, all tested in same socket)

i think thats all the relevant information i can give you regarding my setup, have included a screen shot and would love to get this working. thanks very much.

Is Woolworths actually producing webcams? I can't imagine it to be the brand.

You could try these two articles in the order I post them:

Hey, I have the same problem with this webcam...was a solution found for this?

If it helps, in the instructions it calles it "USB AMT Webcam for Skype," so I'd assume the make is AMT.
