View Full Version : [kde] Most windows open in "fullscreen" mode

I have a problem on my intrepid (latest updates) box with KDE. I hope this is an easy fix as it seems simple enough but I'm stumped. Basically, all windows that open automatically maximized (firefox, dolphin etc) are in a fullscreen mode where the window extends past the psychical dimensions of my monitor so you cannot see the the titlebar and window border. If I load something up that doesn't take up the whole screen the KDE Task manager is then visible and I can right click on the open windows listed and select Advanced-Fullscreen to rectify.

Does anybody know how to remove this default setting?

I also have the same problem, sometimes Firefox is open in fullscreen mode. But I use Gnome.

Sorry my bad english. :(

Bye!

Thanks, that did it. The funny thing is though, I'm not even using compiz, it is installed but its not active. Time to uninstall I think
