I recently download ubuntu linux and put on my old windows xp computer that I purchased in 2002. I did a clean installation and everything installed fine but when it asked my to remove my cd to complete the install the cd drive would never open so I had to pry it open, power down the pc and turn it back on. Once it restarted I would get a black screen with a white arrow but never would get any further. All of my system requirments are ok to install. Please help with any suggestions.
