Hello all,
I have an Epson R1800 photo printer. It works :)
And I saw how to configure it either from
(1) Application/System/Printing or from
(2) http://localhost:631/admin/?op=set-printer-options or from
(3) the application print menu (for instance in Kate).
But I'd like to know:
- how to set some default options (for instance the margin width). It currently prints without any margin (but without the borderless option, so a bit is clipped). (1) doesn't have any default settings and (2) doesn't have margins. I can do it in Kate though.
- how do I print a CD ? I see the option in (2) but how does that work ?
- can Windows machines connect to the printer if I just select the [Share] option or do I need to play around with samba.conf like in the old days ?
- is there a way to calibrate the printer through icc profiles ? If so, can I generate the profiles with my Spyder3print device ? And if not supported, is there any calibration device I can get that works ubuntu ?
