Our office finally switched over to Ubuntu from Fedora for our computers for running media stuff on.

Our old system had a Fedora server that when we plugged a computer into a certain switch and rebooted the computer it would goto PXE start the TFTP and start installing the distro onto the HD.

Kinda plug in and walk away come back in 4 mins and it's done.

Now that we are currently in the process of switching over to ubuntu, I want to have pretty much the exact same setup as before to make my life easier.

Has anyone done anything like this with Ubuntu ?

We are using the newest distro 8.10 of Ubuntu.

So the server would have to have DHCP, TFT PXE support and just copy the current OS onto any computer that we plug into that switch.
