my search on this site AND google has not yielded exactly what it is that I want to know.

I have windows xp and ubuntu AND kubuntu on my hard disk. 3 partitions I believe. anyhow, I would like to just blow all that out of there and install one clean 64bit ubuntu. if I choose the "guided entire disk" option, will it automatically format and prep my hard disk? I just don't want any digi-clutter on there after I am done. once in a while windows would just screw up too much and I would format the hard disk and reload, worked awesome.

oh yeah, if this entire disk installation method does NOT automatically do what it needs to do, how would I go about manually preparing the disk for installation?
