Is there a community version of VMware-Workstation-6.5.0-118166.i386.bundle ? I am looking for a free version of VMware-Workstation just to experiment with.

Unfortunately, there's no free version of VMWare Workstation. You could try VMWare Server or VirtualBox if you want to play with virtualization.

But there is a 30 day free trial for VMware workstation if that's what you want. Otherwise, VMware server etc. are free and work as well.

I'm using VirtualBox. It's as close to VMWare Workstation as you can get. Also, 3D acceleration is in progress, so keep an eye out for that.
