flash player and web camera

Hi. I need to configure flash player to accept webcam. When I right click on the flash application, the application hang. If any one has suggestion or info on this issue please?

Are you still using Ubuntu 7.10?
Have you upgraded to the latest version, flash 10?

I am using Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy). It is a web application (running in firefox). I can watch youtube, etc. I am trying to connect with a video conference discussion program called Soliya (www.soliya.net) which uses flash application in a web browser.

When the application starts, it asks whether it is allowed to access webcam but at the same time it hangs. The same happens when I right click on the flash window.

I am really eager to use Ubuntu in the lab for the video conference. Please help. Thank you.
