Sigh....

I've tried Wubi, Unetbootin, and now LiveCD, and each method that I've used has ultimately ended up in some cycle in which a lot of ACPI statements, etc. show up over and over again.

Most notably: BUG: Soft Lockup....[modprobe: 1061]

Nothing seems to work. Can anybody help me identify the problem here? I've done some research and I don't know if this bit of info means anything, but I'm using an HP Elitebook 8530w.

Thanks in advance...
