I installed Windows XP after installing ubuntu (both are in separate partitions). Initially, I was not able to boot ubuntu and it was booting Windows directly. Later, I did something (don't remember exactly but something with grub) and now I am able to boot only ubuntu and not Windows. Please let me know how can I make it dual boot.

Add this to the end of /boot/grub/menu.lst, BUT before the "### END DEBIAN AUTOMAGIC KERNELS LIST" line:
title Windows XP
root (hd0,2)
chainloader +1
makeactive
boot
That should give you an option labeled Windows XP in GRUB and allow you to boot into Windows. good luck! :)
