Faild to upgrade to 8.10

Hi all,

I started upgrading ubuntu to 8.10.
It was all fine till i got this error :

"Could not download the upgrades.
the upgrade aborts now. please check your internet connection or installation media and try again. All files donwloaded so far are kept."

below , on the same window, there is a box and in the box

Failed to fetch http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool.....

i printed the screen and exit the window so i cant see the rest after "pool".

maybe its something with the repositories?

im a beginner so i cant solve the problem and continue the upgrade from the last point it stopped.
