View Full Version : [ubuntu] DVD's will not play. I would buy a program to play.

I am tired of going the long way around to play DVD's on my MSI P6NGM Ubuntu 8.10 machine. Is there a program that is available to purchase or is it all loop holes? By the way do you think "Ubuntu" should be in the spell checker?

Have you installed libdvdcss2? It's in the Medibuntu repository: http://medibuntu.org/

Add medibuntu your sources list and install vlc and libdvdcss2

That is the best way to go but if you have to have a paid for program go to the Ubuntu store and they have a player there to purchase.
