If you made a general-purpose live CD with as much stuff as you can fit on it, what would you add?
Myself, I like Konqueror (for it's great sftp integration) and GParted.

I am actually creating a livecd (or trying, if only all the tools wouldn't crash and burn and there would be documentation on how to create a livecd for arch :|). Anyway, I would like WICD on there, because it doesn't require a system tray and it works better with my wireless card. Here is my full list from my livecd config:

firefox
pidgin
openjdk6
flashplugin
ttf-ms-fonts
wicd
gedit
lxappearance
gparted
hardinfo
epdfview
vlc
audacious-plugins
transmission-gtk
gcalctool
brasero
gnome-terminal
gimp
mirage
file-roller
pcmanfm
gnome-system-monitor
frozen-bubble

I would like to see lots of lightweight apps. Like PCManFM as the file manager, *box/icewm/jwm window manager, etc.

It should have Firefox or Opera (but not both), because, even though it isn't lightweight, browsing is important and needs a fully functional app.

Lots of admin tools. GParted, a floppy formatter, memtest, fsck for all filesystems, a quick/easy disk mounter, etc.

And a way to install new apps.
