I am still undecided which Ubuntu to go with!

I dont have any exotic hardware (I think!) on this IBM thinkpad. I like the idea of long-term support for 8.04 but is there something I will miss out if I don't get 8.10? :-$

Right now, Hardy Heron seems to be working well with my laptop and all the hardware is supported. So should I upgrade from a working system at all?

If you already have hardy and its working I would not upgrade, hardy has longer support and you know it works well on your machine.:)

if u want to "play around" why don't u install 8.10 in a virtual machine. I know that virtualbox works well.

Partyboi2, yeah my thoughts exactly.. if it aint broke dont fix it, but I guess I should become more adventurous with new releases :)

Neural oD virtualbox looks awesome! Can't wait to try it out already, thanks!

I think I will stick to 8.04, but I am trying to recompile the same kernel version again with some options enabled.. my last experiments have been partially successful, but my wireless (atheros) and sound (dont know what) stopped working. Guess I need to figure out whats wrong!](*,)
