Hi
I have upgraded to ubuntu 8.10 and after that I started getting something like "owned by uid 1000 instead of uid 0" for guarddog firewall. This was set by the same account earlier. I used sudo guarddog but this gave the message "owned by uid 1000 instead of uid 0".
So, I started playing with the login group etc. But I unchecked the Adminsiter box for security reason. Now i do not have root password and I cannot revert back my current account setting also as I am not the admin. So, what need to do.
I tried to follow RootSudo fix (fix broken sudo) but that did not work for me as that also demand root password.
Do I need to install the ubuntu again :(
