View Full Version : [ubuntu] Upgradeto broke my key mappings

Hi there,

Today I've upgraded Ubuntu from 8.04 LTS to 8.10. When I was using the previous version, I configured my Wake keyboard button to increase the volume, and my Sleep keyboard button to decrease it. It was done using the keyboard shortcuts dialog in the Preferences menu.

After the upgrade process, I discovered that only the wake button works now and it actually increases the volume. The sleep button doesn't do anything.
Both are still configured correctly in the keyboard shortcuts dialog.

I don't have volume-up and voulume-down multimedia buttons, therefore I really miss those handy shortcuts.

I assume it's a new-xorg-problem. Can anyone think of a way to solve this case?

Thanks!

A restart solved the case.
