i'm new to linux world , so be easy here

i'm trying to install U 8.04 x86 (from the cd i recieved) ,, i install it from Win Visat , and after installiation , i rebooted as required , i choosed Ubuntu , and it hanged at loading ( about 10% ) i tried non-graphical booting , and i got the following msg:


rc-default main process (7051) terminated with status 255

:(

CPU : 6400 Core2Due , 4 gb of ram , SATA Seagate 250 gb , 7100 Geforce !

hey guys , i solved it ! after a deep search ,, it's look like BIOS problem , i disabled smth like "PCI Express ........" and it work fine now ..
